What is holding you back?

My own personal experience, as well as that gained from working with many wonderful clients, is that it is CONFIDENCE – or rather a lack of it.
Fear of putting yourself out there, fear of failure, fear of losing it all, fear of what others will think, fear of not knowing what to do next….the list of fears is sadly never-ending.
Each time you give in to these fears you doubt yourself even more. The more you doubt yourself, the less confidence you end up having to then go & do what it is you want to do.
This excerpt from Nelson Mandela’s Inaugural speech (taken from Marianne Williamson’s “A Return To Love”) is a perfect mantra to help you overcome this constant struggle.
Read it, print it out, study it.
Life will always be full of challenges.
If you want something new, exciting, different, challenging, satisfying, rewarding, then you have to step out of your comfort zone, face your fears and do it anyway.
As soon as you do, you’l notice your fears simply evaporate ..
Think about the challenge Nelson Mandela faced.
You have the same power within yourself to do whatever urges you on.
All you have to do is have a strong vision of what you want to accomplish, work out your plan and take consistent action.
Here is the full excerpt :
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are we not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
You were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us, it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fears,
our presence automatically liberates others.”
